Leah has been in education for 10 years. While her theatrical background is mainly from high school, she has always loved theater. She has been in productions such as Grease, Wizard of Oz, Once upon a Mattress, and has been the managing director for ECCT for the past 3 years. She also serves on the ECCT Board as president.
I am currently the Children’s Production Director for The Avenue church in Waxahachie. I attended college at Central State University in Edmond Oklahoma on a theatre scholarship. I am also a retired teacher of 33 years. I taught Theatre Arts for Ferris Jr. High for 21 years and also was a cheerleading coach. Before teaching Jr High theatre I was an elementary teacher in Ferris, Texas and in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
I have acted in several commercials, participated as an extra in film and appeared on Real People when I was employed as a gun fighter for Frontier City in Oklahoma City. I was on the board of directors for Jewel Box Theatre in Okc.
My acting resume also includes several shows at Central State University, Jewel Box Theatre, Oklahoma Theatre Center and Duncanville Theatre. I’m a puppet master having worked with One Way Street Puppets and taught puppetry at several camps. I was very lucky to have been given the opportunity to audit and participate in an acting class at Juilliard for one semester while attending college.
My directing experience includes directing 15 first place OAP ‘s at Ferris Jr. High. While teaching at Ovilla Christian school I directed a show that won 1 st place State Champions at the TAPPS OAP competition. Previous to that I had directed for Jewel Box theatre and the Oklahoma Children’s theatre. I was an assistant director for “Kid’s Zone” out of Dallas, Texas and I have also directed for Duncanville Theatre. Most recently I directed for ECCT in Waxahachie, Texas.
Paula Antonevich Myers has been involved in the theater since a young age. She has often performed roles both on and off stage, designing set pieces, costumes, and set dressing often while rehearsing for a performing role.She has taught in the public schools since 1997 in four states across the country. During that time, Paula participated in numerous community theater groups and rebuilt a failing theatre program. She completed her Meisner training in 2013, becoming a certified instructor under the tutelage of Larry Silverberg. Paula believes that theater has a place for everyone and is blessed to be doing what she loves every day.
Heather Morrill works as a HS Theatre Director in the DFW area. She has worked professionally in Television, Film, and Theatre over the span of her 30 year career. Heather is a graduate of The University of Florida and recently completed her Master’s degree in Theatre from Texas A&M at Commerce. She still enjoys performing locally in the DFW area and some of her favorite roles include Emma Goldman in Ragtime, The Witch in Into the Woods, and Adelaide in Guys and Dolls.
Ryan C. Machen has been working with ECCT for the past two years. He currently serves as the Assistant Theatre Director at Everman High School. Along with his work teaching theatre, he also works as a freelance choreographer, having choreographed programs and shows for Baylor University, ECCT, Park Cities Baptist Church and others. He is also an actor in the DFW area and has performed with Uptown Players, Lyric Stage, The Firehouse Theatre and Prism Theatrics in shows such as A Chorus Line, Billy Elliot, Guys and Dolls, Pippin, Seussical, Grand Hotel, Anything Goes, South Pacific and Thoroughly Modern Millie. In 2017, Ryan was awarded the Chita Rivera Dance Award at the Column Award.
